FirmMentors llc was formed by Tim Artz in 2022 to provide consulting services for companies who provide healthcare technology to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Tim’s educational background is in electrical engineering and engineering physics. His professional career began in 1985 at Booz Allen Hamiltion where he supported projects for the Joint Staff, the Air Staff, the National Security Council, the National Security Agency, the White House Communications Agency, the Defense Communications Agency, and the Mayo Clinic.

In 1994, Mr. Artz built a successful healthcare practice at internet startup BTG, Inc. He led a portfolio of software development, systems integration services, value-added reselling, and outsourcing for clients including the VA, DHA, Children’s National Medical Center, NIH, and others. BTG, Inc. was purchased by L3.

In 1999, Mr. Artz joined Agfa Healthcare to lead its global government business. He grew the business to over $1B in revenue providing imaging informatics products and services at over 400 US medical treatment facilities worldwide. A profitable, commanding market share was built and sustained through teamwork, high integrity, efficiency, and innovative problem solving.
